RESUMEN:

Leads product support and R&D activities for lead-acid battery products including adsorptive glass mat (AGM) separators used in VRLA batteries. Leads technical support to enable customers to be successful with H&V products including support during customer trials of building batteries. Leads new product and process initiatives using established scientific techniques leading to commercialization of products.

SUMMARY:

The Controls Engineer is responsible for implementing operations and capital improvement activities related to plant and equipment. This position leads process control and instrumentation upgrades and modifications, ensuring a high level of manufacturing effectiveness.

  • Manages projects for safety, quality, productivity, asset reliability, process improvement, cost reduction and other business objective improvement.
  • Projects from initial concept and scope development through design, procurement, construction/installation and start-up.
  • Designs and drafts systems of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls for machines and equipment such as programmable controllers.

  • Utilize your background in Electrical Hardware, Automation Systems, and Process Control Systems.   • Support the planning, prioritizing, and reviewing the technical plans for engineering/maintenance of the production and facility equipment including the preparation of project plans, schedules, budgets and proposals.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the Rockwell Systems – SCADA, MES, PLCs, VFDs and Servos, IO and Safety Devices.
  • Be proficient in Software Development - PLC programming, IO Configuration, SCADA/HMI programming and computer communication systems and network protocols – Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet.
  • Prepare system integration plans, system specification, system architecture drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, equipment tag list, configurations, HMI screens, and a bill of materials.

RESUMEN:

The Manager of Electrical & Instrumentation will provide electrical maintenance leadership for the repair and maintenance of electrical power distribution and process control systems.

  • Complies with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements established by external and internal regulations

EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA:

  • 10 years experience, including employment in a process-related industrial facility and/or an industrial consulting engineering design firm with relevant hands on experience.
  • Must have high level of knowledge of electric drives and power distribution systems and the ability to conceptualize projects, including identifying the technologies to be used for new applications and extensions of existing architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to demonstrate excellent planning and prioritization skills by effectively handling multiple tasks, and establishing and meeting financial and schedule objectives. 
  • Working knowledge of computers (MS Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Exchange, and AutoCad). 
  • Current MA Electrical Masters License preferred, MA Journeyman Electrical License required
  • Experience with high voltage systems along with Allen Bradley PLC background
  • Supervisory experience preferably in an union environment
  • Prior Paper Industry experience and P.E. license desirable.

RESUMEN:

The Mill Scheduler is responsible for scheduling incoming customer and stock replenishment orders for production and confirming order ship dates to the Customer service team. The Mill Scheduler works closely with the site Supply Chain and Operation Teams, as well as the corporate Customer Service Team. This position strives to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction with minimum inventory investment and maximum production efficiency.  

FUNCIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES ESENCIALES:

  • Schedule incoming customer (CO) and stock replenishment (SR) orders for production following the Supply Chain Scheduling Procedure.
  • Develop and distribute production cycle schedules based upon Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecasts and efficient product family sequencing.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Team and Business Units in order to meet or exceed customer On Time Delivery (OTD) and On Time Delivery in Full (OTIF) targets.
  • Identify opportunities to utilize and optimize Finished Good (FG) stocking levels.
  • Maintain planning system (TIPS) input parameters such as planning horizons, lead times, run quantities, trimming, cycles, etc.
  • Confirm order ship (CTA) dates daily.
  • Create and confirm production runs and assign available finished goods daily.
  • Work with asset owners to confirm order priorities.
  • Work with Operations Manager to optimize sequencing of grades to aid in meeting machine yield targets.
  • Adhere to weekly schedule lock process per the Supply Chain Scheduling Procedure.
  • Complete runs in TIPS, re-plan any relevant balances, and communicate shortages to Supply Chain and Customer Service Teams.
  • Maintain the asset production schedules, review daily, and update as necessary.
  • Manage customer and production order changes.
  • Advise stakeholders of any significant changes in the asset schedules.
  • Support Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) activities by providing quarterly updates to projected cycle run quantities by grade to Supply Chain Manager.
  • Track and present status of backlog weekly.

EDUCACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA:

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials management or business with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, and materials control function. Or, two years of production/material control experience in lieu of each one year of formal education. APICS certification is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Tieto / TIPS applications experience in preferred, but not required.
